Great stay at the Beach Hotel in Sandsend. I had a room with a sea view, and a breakfast which was probably enough food for the rest of the week !!
Breakfast was at 8:30, so I left about 9:00. Today was a lot shorter than yesterday at around 10 miles, so no rush. The way out of Sandsend was very straightforward. Along the sea front and then up along the side of a golf course into Whitby sea front.

Whitby Abbey
After a while meandering through Whitby I was climbing the 199 steps to the Abbey on my way out of town. It was a lot cooler today, but with the distance and terrain (not too many ups and downs), this was probably one of the easiest days on the trail.

A few miles from Robin Hoods Bay the trail joins the Coast to Coast path once again.

The hotel was at the top of the town and similar to yesterday directly on the trail.
