Horsley Castle Jan 21st 2020
This is a lovely local walk apart from the mud bath at Brackley Gate Farm. I'll have to figure out if there is an alternative return route.
A lovely sunny winters day. About 7 miles.

Birchen Edge Jan 10th 2020
Finally opened my account for 2020 with one of my favorite Derbyshire walks (just over a year since I last did this wander).
I really enjoyed this walk but for the last couple of miles I was getting tired.... a definite sign I need to do more to get fit.

Shipley Park Circuit 7th Jan 2020
I have been doing lots of variations of this walk over the winter months. This was a bit longer, so I packed dome breakfast and brought my camera along.
Breakfast on Shipley Hill - flask of tea and a sandwich....lovely.
I know this doesn't count as a 'hike' , but it is a brilliant start to a day. No driving, 6.5 miles, breakfast , and back for lunch.

The car park at Dove Dale is now run by NT which is much better than before. Headed up past the stepping stones and after a couple of mile...

Starting a new project at work in Bridgend, so travelled down on the Sunday for the first visit and took the opportunity to visit the Brecon... -
A storm with Gale force winds had been forecast for later in the day , so I thought it would be good to get out and do at least a short walk... -
