More practice for the second half of the Cleveland Way next week. This walk was based on a walk from my Dark Peak walks book. The start in the book is Fox House pub, but I parked on the layby on the A621 just outside Baslow near Big Moor.
The first section to the farm house at Bar Brook Resevoir I have done a few times. As soon as I got round the farm house I saw a group of red deer. I checked on-line and it is a herd of red deer that live on Big Moor, but I am not sure if the ones I saw were fallow deer.

After following the footpath on Big Moor past Lady's Cross the trail crosses the edge of White Edge Moor before meeting a road junction with Longshaw estate the other side of the junction.

Stopped at the visitor centre for a cuppa and scone, and then left the estate at the junction with Fox House Inn.

We used to come out to this area regularly with the kids when we lived in Sheffield

The trail then crossed Totley Moor before crossing a road to return to the edge of Big Moor. I followed the footpath back to the farm next to the resevoir and then back on the same route out from the start for about a mile back to the van.
Video ClipsGreat walk. I'll definitely do again. About 11 Miles.
