Another monster mountain day.
Patterdale to Shap. Big climb out of Patterdale up to Boredale Hause, and then a trek across high ground pass angle tarn, and then on to kidsty pike. Up until then I was walking with a couple of German ladies Christeen and Elizabeth - they had stayed at the bunkhouse the previous night and set of just after me but soon caught me up. They were great , and saved me at one point wondering off on the wrong path. Just before Kidsty Pike I told them I was taking the high level route via low raise back down to hawsewater. So at that point I left them(I think after they had summited Kidsty Pike they followed onto the high level route, but I didnt see them agaain). The last 4 miles nearly destroyed me -energy gone after yesterday's exertions. It was a lovely day and the temperature was up.
