Fantastice stay at Beak Hills. The evening meal and breakfast were epic. Something about this type of walking seems to amplify the pleasure in food and sleep.. Knowing that today would only be a 11 / 12 mile section, I had breakfast at 7;30 and then set off just after 8 AM. Today was clear but very windy. also the highest point on the Cleveland Way was reached.

Fitrst section of todays trek was more ups and downs.
- Cold Moor up and down
- Wain Stones up and down to Clay Bank
- Climb up to Urra Moor from Clay bank
Once on Urra Moor the route was flat and easy ( apart from the gusty wind)

The Byre. Stable block where I spent the night |
The accomodation was simple but absolutely fine after a days walking. There are 5 beds in the stable block, and a basic cooking /ding area. I had the whole block to myself. It was a bit chilly , so I found a blanket to go over my sleepng bag and I wore my woolley hat.
