Pennine Way day 7 Gargrave to Malham 25/06/2024

 My train from Langley Mill was cancelled, So ended up catching 4 trains (took 4 hours) to get to Gargrave. Langley Mill - Ilkeston - Sheffield - Leeds - Gargrave.

The route was largely agricultural land with a nice section along the River Aire near Airton. 

I was glad to be only doing seven miles as the the walk started just before mid day and it was hot.

Nice pitch in the corner at Riverside Campsite Malham

I had a nice evening in Malham which consisted mostly of lying down outside the tent and a meal and a pint at the Beck Hall Hotel (few hundred yards from

the campsite).
