Esk Pike, Rosset Pike, Seathwaite Fell 30th April 2019

Tuesday morning after a (usual) sleepless night, we set off at 7.00 AM up the Grains Gill valley. It took us around two hours to make the 3 mile climb up to Esk Hause. Using Esk Hause as a 'base camp'  we walked to Esk Pike (back to Esk Hause), Rosset Pike (back to Esk Hause) and then Seathwaite Fell, before returning via the same route.

Esk Hause - Sethwaite Fell

As there were no footpaths on Sethwaite Fell I located the summit (south summit) using my Garmin. After reaching the summit I thought it would be a straightforward route back to Sprinkling tarn and the path, but I got disoriented and eventually ended up further down the Styhead Tarn path.

An epic walk. About 16 miles OS OL6
