I arrived at Horton in Ribbledale station at 10:30 AM which was the earliest time available. After a short walk down from the station down to the The Crown pub I was back on the trail.
Most of todays trek was along an old drovers road /track , and a section of roman road. As a result navigation was straightforward.

What I really enjoyed about todays walk was looking around and seeing the three peaks of Penyghent , Ingleborough and Whernside bringing back memories of that succesful challenge several back in 2017.

Day 9 Video Clips
The final part of the walk was across open moorland on Ten End and then a series of farm fields and country lanes before arriving at the village of Gayle followed closely by Hawes.
After picking up some supplies from the Spar shop I arrived at the Chapel Indepependent Hostel.
I had a pleasant evening and a good sleep at the hostel.
Another great days walking on this fantastic trail. Approx 13.5 miles.
