According to the directions I needed to pick up the path through the NT campsite. I stopped at reception and ended up deciding to stay there for the night, so I walked back to the car park to pick the van up and get myself booked in. After sorting that out I set off on the walk. The plan had been to get to the top of Side Pike and then backtrack and find the ridge route onto Lingmoor Fell. In the end I couldn't find the route without dropping all the way back down to the road, so I opted for just Side Pike (I was quite knackered by this point) and to tackle Lingmoor Fell on Saturday.

I was quite tired after this and headed on back down to the campsite for a well deserved rest
Not a Wainwright but a great little fell with some superb views.
