Tuesday 16th August Summer Isle CruiseThis was something we had wanted to do last time we were in Scotlad but Ullapool was 'full up' during the Lupallu festival. At £40 each it was a pricey two hours but proved to be the highlight of our holiday and was worth every penny.

Wednesday 17th August Knockan Crags, Blughasary, Achnahaird Peninsula
Last full day, and we packed quite a lot in, ending up breaking down on the single track road on the way back from the peninsula (5 and half hours waiting for recovery !!)

Knockan Crags (about 15 miles north of Ullapool) |
We drove north to Knockan crags to do a lovely round walk up to the crags with spectacular views.

Spectacular view from Knocken Crags |
After Knockan Crags we drove a short distance south and took the unclassified road off to Blughasary were we planned a 2 mile walk to the coast walking parallel to the river Runie. However, Anne got tired and we did a U turn back with the plan of a car ride up the peninsula to see the summer isles. We were lucky enough to spot some Deer on the way back. (no pics unfortunately).

On the way back we hit a pothole and due to no spare tyre, ended up waiting 5and a half hours for recovery. Not a bad place to break down next to Loch Bad. See pics below.

A great holiday. We both love the Highlands.
