The challenge was to walk from the centre of Derby to Smalley. I caught the bus from Smalley to Derby and met Ben at the start point.
Apart from a small amount of street walking at the start and in Stanley Common the rest of the walk was on good footpaths including th Breadsall railway cutting
Ben did the route planning and map reading , so thta was a treat for me.
Great to get another (new) local walk in.
About 8 miles.
