Hallin Fell #214 Oct 17th 2019

My final Wainwright with Anne ...bloody marvelous.

.
Short, but sweet. This was a simple (but steep) grassy climb up to the summit with magnificent views over Ullswater and the Helvellyn range. With Anne and Meg on my last Wainwright fell on a beautiful autumnal afternoon. I am so happy to get to the top of this on a lovely afternoon.

A short break on the way up

Stairway to heaven

# 214 whoop whoop

On the way down. A beautiful view of  the Nab with Rest Dodd behind and Rampsgill head ,High Raise Head ridge to the left
The 214 Wainwright challenge completed. I am so pleased and proud after 9 years. Already looking to the next challenge which will probably involve some of the long distance trails.

A modest  but rewarding 1.5 mile walk.

Carsington Water 15th October 2019

Another wonderful wander around Carsington Reservoir,

This time  I started at Millfields and went around anti clockwise (crazy !!)

As usual a gentle and picturesque  perimeter walk. Experimenting with my camera, I wasn't too impressed and therefore didn't post too many pics.

About 9 - 10 miles OS OL 24.
