The walk I chose was brilliant , but turned out to be a popular tourist route , so I was sharing the paths with lots of folk , even though the weather was cool and misty higher up. The walk was a short 4 mile round walk from the Storey Arms , with a steady climb up to Bwlch Duwynt. Walking past the summit of Corn Du the path leads to the plateau summit of Pen Y Fan.

From there I followed the well defined path on the saddle between the two peaks to the summit of Corn Du. A short scramble of the summit leads to the path down with a brilliant view on the right down to the lake Llyn Cwm Llwch. Occasionally the mist blew away and I could see the summit of Pen Y Fan.
