  • Total Ascent 2171  Ft
  • Total Descent 2180 Ft
  • Mileage 9.5 Miles
Brilliant walk , taking in a stretch of the pennine way along the edge of the plateau. It was a tough walk due to the heat, so it was nice to get back to the camp site and have a chilled evening and a great sleep.

Kinder Scout from Edale 02/07/25

I gave Ben a lift to Edale as he was camping there for a couple of days. I left him at the campsite to set up and then I set off on the classic circuit - Edale - Grindsbrook Clough - Woolpacks - Jacobs Ladder - Edale.

  • Total Ascent 2148 ft
  • Total Descent 2137ft
  • Distance 9.3 miles

A brilliant walk. Never disappoints

Bits and Pieces June 2025

Shipley Park Nutbrook Trail June 26

This was a variation on the big round hike from home and around Shipley Park. Instead of heading around Shipley Lake I carried on the Nutbrook trail after Maperley and did a loop back round to Maperley passing Head House  farm.

Nice walk - some of this woulld be good for a cycle ride. No pics.

29th June 2025. Walk around Heckington.

We stayed over in Heckington after a night out with Anne's sisters. Before breakfast I went for a walk across the fields around the village. This isn't great walking country as it is flat and a lot of the crops in the fields grow up to and over the footpaths.

About 4 miles. No pics.
